May 17th and May 24th, 2024

The above images include prints produced by Sault, Michigan and Sault, Canada community members, as well as documentation of the workshop.

These cross-border workshops were held along the St. Marys River in Sault, Ontario (May 24th, 2024) and Sault, Michigan (May 17, 2024). As with all workshops, plant and animal beings included in the prints were respectfully gathered from along the banks of the river or ethically handled and transported from nearby waters using freshwater fisheries protocols in the instance of images including imprints of fish.

These workshops acknowledge the group effort of land, water, and community and would not have been possible without support of the Sault Area Art Center in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan; The Sault Ste. Marie Museum in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario; and University of Michigan-Flint biologist, Dr. Heather Dawson.
